This Hotel is pure luxury, it is absolutely exceptional and I cannot recommend it highly enough, beautifully renovated old building with a lovely tropical garden. The interior design and furnishings are incredible. The highest level of attention to every detail. The private secure car park is fantastic with easy access into hotel. The staff here are amazing so friendly and helpful from checking in at reception, where the receptionist told us how to get into the back street behind the hotel to access the parking when the electric gate opened she was waiting the other side to help us with our bags. The bag we had taken into reception had been placed in our room by a lovely lady who not only did the housekeeping but helped with the amazing breakfast. The bar staff were so helpful and friendly to and such lovely areas to sit with a drink. This hotel is just so relaxing and yet just outside the ancient doors there are so many good restaurants and bars to walk to along the cobbled streets. We really enjoyed our stay over 2 nights and will definitely return one day.

We previously stayed at this property a few years ago and once again it did not disappoint. Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The hotel is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Our bedroom was extremely clean and comfortable with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in, we had a balcony which overlooked a very pretty garden which was well maintained. We took breakfast at the hotel, which had a buffet with plenty of choice and the option to have made to order a hot choice. I had a most delicious omelette. Staff were wonderful, pleasant, polite and extremely helpful. When we are next in the area I definitely would rebook again.

We stayed here about 12 years ago and sometimes visiting a second time after such a gap, can be slightly disappointing. However, not in this case. The setting is perfect and the garden so secluded. It’s like a paradise. The breakfast is excellent. And the staff are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. This hotel is not open to the general public so it remains quiet and tranquil. They would make a lot more money if they opened it up, but thankfully they don’t want to. Parking is secure behind a closed garage door if you have a special car.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very at home. The hotel was impressively decorated in a classic style with seating areas both in and outside which were very comfortable and suitable for quiet drinks and lounging/reading after a day out. The room was spacious and well-decorated with comfortable seating and a very large comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet style offering a large selection, with hot food (e.g. scrambled eggs with bacon) made to order.

Staff so friendly and the hotel offers a real ‘wow-factor’ - it’s literally stepping back into a 15 century nobleman’s home. Santillana is a lovely medieval village and the hotel is right in the centre. The hotel offers parking for around 10 cars which is quite cramped and charge 11 euros a day - there’s also public parking 200 metres away. Breakfast was nice - not loads of space so you reserve your time slot in advance.
